Petrol Diesel Price: Petrol-diesel price hike for seven consecutive days

In Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 88.99 per liter and in Mumbai at Rs 95.46 per liter.  Petrol and diesel prices vary in different states depending on local taxes and freight

Petrol price in the country on Monday reached close to Rs 89 per liter.  State-owned oil companies have hiked petrol and diesel prices for the seventh day in a row.  According to the companies, petrol price has been hiked by 26 paise per liter and diesel by 30 paise per liter.  After this, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 88.99 per liter and in Mumbai to Rs 95.46 per liter.  Petrol and diesel prices vary in different states depending on local taxes and freight.

So let us know what are the prices of petrol and diesel in big cities of Gujarat.

This increases the rate of petrol and diesel

Adding excise duty, dealer commission and other items to petrol and diesel prices almost doubles the price.  If the excise duty of the central government and the VAT of the state governments are removed, the rate of diesel and petrol will be around Rs 27 per liter, but neither the central nor the state government will be able to remove the tax at any cost.  Because a large part of the income comes from here.  This money grows.  In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the central government's excise duty on petrol in Delhi is Rs 32.98.  At the same time, the share of state government sales tax or value added tax (VAT) is Rs 19.55.

Prices are set every morning

Petrol and diesel prices change daily depending on the foreign exchange rate along with the price of crude in the international market.  Oil marketing companies determine the rates of petrol and diesel every day after reviewing the prices.  Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise petrol and diesel rates daily at 6 am.
